Workshop feedback

What our students have to say

4.5 / 5

“The workshop was practical and applicable to real-world development workflows. I especially enjoyed the second day; discovering how to organize agent instructions into .claude/rules/ was particularly impressive.”

Pavlo R.

“Great to just pack everything into focused sessions. I really appreciated the interactive nature of the sessions and getting to hear different developers' experiences.”

Peta M.

“The length was perfect and I really enjoyed learning beside Miki and seeing his actualy workflow was very enlightening.”

What You'll Learn

Agentic workflows

Move beyond autocomplete to structured planning, spec-driven work, and vertical feature delivery.

Context Engineering

Give your agent the right data at the right time so outputs stay grounded and useful.

Skills & MCPs

Extend agents with project rules, skills, and MCP integrations for real development tasks.

Setting Up to Follow Along

It's expected that you will have been coding in Go for several months.

A working Go environment running on the device you will be bringing to class.

Install the following before the workshop starts:

  • Go 1.24+ SDK
  • Git
  • A coding agent such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, amp, opencode, …

From Miki Tebeka

In the last couple of years, I went over the five stages of LLM acceptance:
  • Denial: It's just an over-hyped Markov chain
  • Anger: Why did it invent a library that doesn't exist?!
  • Bargaining: If I tweak the prompt enough, it will behave
  • Depression: I am a highly paid copy-paste clerk
  • Acceptance: It's my tireless, idiot-savant assistant

But, I came out of it more productive, while still generating lean, fast and idiomatic Go code. In this course, I'll set you on a path to generate high quality code using AI tools.

I'll share some of the tools I use, for example: [Having Claude notify me when it needs my attention] [gist].

Frequently asked questions

Who is this workshop for?

Experienced Go developers who are familiar with basic AI agents and want a structured, hands-on path to building real services with agentic workflows.

Do I need prior AI experience?

You should be comfortable using a coding agent today. We focus on leveling up your workflow — planning, context, validation, and tooling — not introducing Go from scratch.

Is this the same as the May 27 webinar?

No. The free webinar on May 27 was an introduction. This 2-day workshop is a deep, hands-on build where you implement a Go web service with an AI agent across both sessions.

Will sessions be recorded?

Yes, students will have access to the full recordings after the training.
